The Bayou Builders,Team #4043, is a community-based FIRST Lego League team located in Hammond, Louisiana, USA. The team was started by FRC Torbotics #2080 and has enjoyed on-going mentorship from 2080 ever since. The team has been recognized for it's commitment to sustain and develop new teams throughout our region, while also connecting with teams from across the world. Averaging up to 20 community outreach events annually, the team has impacted the lives of over 78,000 youth and families over the past six years. The Bayou Builders are founding members of the Northshore STEM Coalition and are committed to promoting a variety of opportunities for STEM discoveries for all students throughout our region. The team's coaches launched HYPE Robotics of LA during the summer of 2017 to help manage the daily operation of the FTC and FLLJr teams (twelve in total) Bayou Builders created through a grant from DOW.
